Our Philosophy of Care
Strathmore Lodge aims to provide its residents with a secure, relaxed, friendly and homely environment in which their care, well-being and comfort is of prime importance.
Our Carers will strive to preserve and maintain the dignity, individuality and privacy of all residents within a warm, friendly and caring atmosphere, and in doing so will be sensitive to the residents ever changing needs.
Such needs may be medical/therapeutic (for physical and mental welfare), cultural, psychological, spiritual, emotional and social and residents are encouraged to participate in the development of their individualised Plan of Care, as are family and friends where appropriate.
This will be achieved through programmes of activities designed to encourage mental alertness, self esteem, and social interaction with other residents and with recognition of the core values of care which are fundamental to the philosophy of our home.
What Our Residents say…
"Just to say we can't thank you enough for all the love and support Dad was given by all of you. We're so glad we chose Strathmore Lodge to be his last home."
Mr D. (Relative of Resident)
"The atmosphere at Strathmore Lodge was warm, friendly and positive. We were impressed by the way staff treated all the residents as individuals. If tenderness was called for it was offered but there were also examples of great fun and jollity if this was appropriate.
Staff were always on the lookout for any resident who was in discomfort and their response to those who were unwell was professional and timely."
Ms M. (Relative of Resident)
"We are very grateful and a big thank you for the loving care and assistance that you all gave to our mother over the years. This gave us peace of mind and comfort knowing that she was happy and in very good hands."
Mrs W. (Relative of Resident)
