Our Care Services

We can provide a range of support services that are person-centred and designed to reflect the individuality of the people we support.

Families play a vital role in caring for their loved ones, and our duty of care to our clients ensures a healthy partnership with family members to provide a service that enables their relatives to continue to live independently at home. This partnership also involves active co-operation with the relevant key sector professionals.

Our overall goal therefore, is to provide a professional service that meets the full requirements of the sector and also fulfils the legitimate outcomes of our clients.

Dementia Care

We provide care services to people who have memory deficits or are diagnosed with Dementia. We recognise the challenges that people living with Dementia and their families face.

Choosing a care home for someone living with dementia is a major decision. You want to be sure that your loved one will be in an understanding, caring environment with professionals who have the experience and knowledge to best care for them.

At Strathmore Lodge that is exactly what we offer. We do whatever we can to make our residents feel at ease, with tailored features for those living with dementia.

Respite Care

Respite Care is the provision of short-term, temporary relief to those who are caring for family members who might otherwise require permanent placement in a facility outside the home.

The reality is that there are times when even the most loving and dedicated of carers need a break. There can be any number of reasons for this; perhaps the carer is themselves unwell or has to be elsewhere, or maybe they are taking a well deserved holiday? This is where we can help. Greville House has dedicated rooms offering 24-hour care for those requiring this temporary residential service.

Respite care at our home is also an excellent way of familiarising  service user with our surrounding and people, so if/when a permanent move into residential care becomes necessary, they already feel at home with us.

Day Care

We are looking into the possibility of starting a Day Care service. Our Day Care service will generally be used by two groups of people. Firstly, by people who are living at home, perhaps alone, who are looking for somewhere to socialise and enjoy themselves, but in a safe and caring environment. We can provide a full day service, with all meals included, during which the service user can mix with people of their own age and take part in the wide range of activities designed to stimulate both mind and body.

Others who use the service may live with a full time carer, but join us for the day to perhaps give them a well deserved break or to cover those times when their carer is at work or has other commitments.

Day Care can be hugely beneficial both emotionally, spiritually and practically and can also familiarise the user with life inside a residential home, making a possible transition to full time care less daunting.
